ROAST MY KID!

In the new reality series "Roast My Kid," contestants — some of whom are parents — compete against each other in a game show format to see who can embarrass and humiliate their own child the worst.

And when a "Roast My Kid" contestant humiliates his or her kid, he or she gets to have the last laugh. It's a win-win situation.

"It's a game show where the loser loses," explained host and former pro wrestling commentator Bobby Slayton. "The last person standing takes home the $100,000."

And with a little bit of luck, a $100,000 prize or more might even be in the offing.

When "Roast My Kid" debuts on March 2, Slayton promises the show will feature "a few surprises."

We've already seen a sneak peek of this highly entertaining and competitive series on a promo segment that premiered in late February.

Some of the contestants — who include real-life parents who are willing to risk it all for a shot at the $100,000 prize — use their children as human shields while they perform humiliating skits and songs. One contestant even puts her kid in the hands of a comedy team from "The View" in an act reminiscent of Jerry Lewis' "The Errand Boy."

That's not to say the comedy hasn't crossed over into the dark. A contest between two parents who are former professional wrestlers, and who have a child named after WWE star John Cena, features the parents competing against one another while beating their kids to a pulp.

The contestants and Slayton promise the show is a game of wits, a challenge to the parents and kids' intelligence. But it's anything but, as the contestants are willing to humiliate themselves and their own offspring for a shot at the $100,000. And at times, they can even find themselves laughing — and crying — at the same time.

During the "Roast My Kid" promo segment, one mother, identified only as "Mrs. M," said she and her husband "do whatever the kids want to do, and if they're not happy, they're pretty happy if they know how to get what they want."

Mrs. M went on to say that while her family has a lot of laughs together, the biggest thing they have to laugh about is their son.

"He just doesn't have a sense of humor," she said.

But don't worry, Mrs. M reassured us, while her son will never see how horrible he is — or how hilarious — at the same time.

"He won't know it's happening," she said. "He just won't know."

To that, Slayton added, "He will know it's happening."

And that's what "Roast My Kid" is all about.

"It's not about the money. It's about the whole experience, how do you humiliate your own child," Slayton said.
